THE JOURNEY OF OUR FIRST WHISKY

Magnus Heinason Organic Single Malt is crafted through double pot still distillation using organic Danish barley malt from Thornæs Distillery. After distillation, we take full control of the maturation process.

The whisky begins its journey in carefully selected first-fill bourbon casks, imparting rich sweetness, notes of vanilla, and a hint of spicy pepper. After nearly 30 months of maturation in bourbon casks, it is transferred to small 50-liter casks made from new Danish oak. Here, the whisky develops a unique character with bold oak notes, tannins, and complexity, creating the impression of a much older whisky than it is.

The final touch is provided by the water. We use pure, natural spring water from the Kirvi source, which flows deep within the bedrock of the Faroe Islands. Following traditional methods, we reduce the whisky to 46% ABV before bottling.
